This is My Story

cj 2.jpg

My name is Cody Jack I am described as a fresh, rugged, true Storyteller. I was born and raised right here  in the Pacific Northwest. My music has been described as everything you wished Country had never lost, I feel I am all the right amount of Honky Tonkin’, Good Timin’, & Heartbreak!

People ask me what drives me to do what I do and I guess it just feels so natural, I love telling people stories about the human experience through my eyes and the best way I know how to is through Country Music!

I just believe that when you have the ability to share your experiences through storytelling and music that’s when your fans start to connect with your music. During my live shows I try my best to connect with my fans through the stories I tell, about the songs that I write and through the music that I play.

I've been playing guitar and songwriting since 1999, as an early age I was influenced by such artists as Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, The Judds, Travis Tritt.

In my late teens, early twenties I moved away from Country into experimenting with the Northwest sound and played in a few punk rock bands, these bands really didn’t go anywhere I wasn't ever truly fulfilled, I was then introduced to becoming a D.J. where I eventually did some touring and had a residency in the British West Indies, the whole time I was still playing solo gigs from time to time but it just was never enough.

I would soon realize that DJing is not where my heart was. I moved back to Reno, Nevada from the Caribbean, where I worked and really started diving myself into writing and performing for family in friends and a few dive bars from time to time. I realized that this was where he wanted to be the whole time. Finally, settling with the idea of being an Americana Singer/Songwriter heavily influenced by Country Music.

These days, you can find me in a pub, brewery, or an ol honky tonk, strumming out songs heavily influenced by his heroes such as Chris Stapleton, Lee Brice, Bob Seger, Jamey Johnson, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac,  among other country legends             His eclectic version of  three chords and the truth will haunt you in his original songs he wrote from "Rainier Nights" to "The Devil's Ropin Me In" to "She's Still Here".

I am currently in The Evolv Studio recording my very first full length album, the title of the album is Relentless. Currently you can find several singles on all streaming digital platforms and alot of covers on my website. I have have been working with some of the most talented Country, Blues, and Americana artists of the Northwest to create a unique Northwest blend of country, blues, and rock.

If you like my story, music or you would just like to say hi, join the family and get updates when new music comes out and where my next shows are.
